PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This unique program is designed to develop experienced lacrosse players and advance their skills in the off season to better compete in their programs in the spring.  The paid coaching staff are US Lacrosse trained, have played collegiately, have coached at various levels, and have strong knowledge of the game.

Each practice will consist of 1 hour of position specific training followed by a 1 hour lacrosse game.  Tournament teams at each division will be selected by the coaches and invited to play in various fall tournaments.  Invited players will have the option to participate in the tournament at an additional cost.

LOCATION:
Central Park, Plantation for Boys
Shenandoah Park, Davie for Girls

PROGRAMS OPTIONS:

BOYS: Players will have the option to choose one of three programs (weeknight, weekend, combined).  The Weeknight program offers 14 dates of training and play and starts on 9/28/10.  Sundays can be substituted for a weekday if player chooses to do 1 weeknight and Sundays.  The Weekend program offers 8 dates of training and play and starts on 9/19/10.  The Combined program offers a full compliment of 22 dates of training and play.  If a player can only make 1 weeknight and Sunday they can register with the Weeknight program and attend the 1 weeknight and Sunday.  In such a case please mention the days in your registration notes.
GIRLS:  Sunday program is the only option offered.

DIVISIONS:
Divisions closely resemble tournament age groups and are as follows:
U11 - Born in 1999 or later (2000, 2001...). if you were 11 on or before December 31, 2009, you may not play U11 in 2010.
U13 - Born in 1997 or later (1998, 1999...). If you were 13 on or before December 31, 2009, you may not play U13 in 2010.
U15 - Born in 1995 or later (1996, 1997...)if you were 15 on or before December 31, 2009, you may not play U15 in 2010.
High School - High School players all grades.  NOTE: For tournament play this group will participate in the U17 division.  HS Seniors will not qualify for or be selected for the U17 tournament team.
We may allow certain players to play up a division at our discretion.
Further clarification from US Lacrosse:
Example using the U13 category:
1) A player is 12 years old on 12/31/09 and turns 13 on May 15, 2010. This player IS qualified to participate.
2) A player is 13 years old on 12/31/09 and turns 14 on May 15, 2010. This player IS NOT qualified to participate.

GIRLS - Entering grades 7-12

REQUIREMENTS:
- This program is for experienced players.  Players must have played at least ONE FULL SPRING season of lacrosse with a recognized program.  Participation in Dave Summer Lacrosse League does not qualify as that is mostly recreational game play with little skill training.  New players can qualify for Fall Ball by completing a Level 1 Fast Start Clinic.  Xcelerate Camp and Private Instruction participants may qualify at the discretion of the Fall Ball directors.
- Players must be current members of US Lacrosse (through 11/23/10).  Players can update or register with US Lacrosse through our registration page.
- There are NO TRYOUTS or tryout fees.  All EXPERIENCED players can play in our Fall Ball program.

TOURNAMENTS:
Players will be selected from the program participants and invited to play in various fall tournaments.  There will be an additional charge to cover uniforms, tournament fees and costs.  We will most likely attend 2 tournaments.  Tournaments we are considering:

- Martin County Shootout, November 6-7
- Delray Tournament, Delray Beach, November 13-14
- Derek Pieper Memorial,  Wesley Chapel, November 20-21

Partial tournament player selections will be announced on October 3 (preliminary) and the final selections on October 10 (final).  Selected players will have the option of participating.  Should selected players choose to not participate in the travel portion of the program additional players will be invited to participate.   We will send out hotel information for the Derek Pieper tournament very soon.
